Evgenii Aleksandrovich Kozlovskii
Kozlovskii, Evgenii Aleksandrovich
Born May 7, 1929, in the village of Dovsk, in what is now Rogachev Raion, Gomel’ Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Soviet state figure. Doctor of technical sciences (1973); professor (1975). Member of the CPSU since 1955.
The son of an office worker, Kozlovskii graduated from the S. Ordzhonikidze Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute in 1953; in the same year he began engineering and technical work with geological organizations in the Far East. From 1965 to 1973, Kozlovskii was chief of the Technical Board of the Ministry of Geology of the RSFSR. In 1973 and 1974 he was director of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of the Economics of Mineral Raw Materials and Geological Prospecting of the Ministry of Geology of the USSR and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
Kozlovskii was appointed deputy minister of geology of the USSR in 1974 and minister in 1975. He became a candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU in 1976. He served as a deputy to the tenth convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
Kozlovskii has received the Lenin Prize and has been awarded the Order of Lenin, two other orders, and various medals.
