final products

final products

GOODS and SERVICES that are consumed by end-users, as opposed to INTERMEDIATE PRODUCTS that are used as FACTOR INPUTS in producing other goods and services. Thus, purchases of bread count as part of final demand but not the flour used to make the bread.

The total market value of all final products (which corresponds with total expenditure in the NATIONAL INCOME ACCOUNTS) corresponds with the total VALUE ADDED at each product stage for all products in a particular economy.
