Evgenii Zababakhin

Zababakhin, Evgenii Ivanovich

 

Born Jan. 3 (16), 1917, in Moscow. Soviet physicist. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1968; corresponding member, 1958). Member of the CPSU since 1949.

Zababakhin graduated from the Air Force. Engineering Academy in 1944. His main works are on hydrodynamics and explosion. In these fields he has published these works: “Shock Waves of Field and Their Cumulation” with M. N. Nechaev (Zhurnal eksperimental’noi i teoreticheskoi fiziki, 1957, vol. 33, issue 2[8]), “Shock Waves in Laminated Systems” (ibid. , 1965, vol. 49, issue 2), “Cumulation of Energy and Its Limits” (Uspekhi fiiicheskikh nauk, 1965, vol. 85, issue 4), and “Discontinuities in Shock Adiabatic Curves and the Multivaluedness of Some Shock Compressions” with V. A. Simonenko (Zhurnal eksperimental’noi i teoreticheskoi fiziki, 1967, vol. 52, no. 5).
