Evgenii Zolotov

Zolotov, Evgenii Vasil’evich

 

Born Apr. 29, 1922, in Tula. Soviet mathematician. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1970). Member of the CPSU since 1955.

Zolotov graduated from the F. E. Dzerzhinskii Artillery Academy in 1945. In 1968 he became a professor at the Kalinin Polytechnic Institute. Since 1971 he has been director of the Computer Center (which he organized) of the Far Eastern Scientific Center of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Zolotov has been working in the fields of modeling large systems on electronic computers; experimental, analytic, and machine methods of assessing the effectiveness of systems; and applied problems of the theory of random processes.
