Fizika Tverdogo Tela

(Solid State Physics), a scientific journal of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The journal was founded in 1959 and is published in Leningrad. One volume consisting of 12 issues is published annually. Fizika tverdogo tela contains articles dealing with the optical, electrical, magnetic, and other properties of solids, as well as with phase transitions in solids, the structure of solids, and research methods. The editor in chief is S. N. Zhurkov. Circulation, 2,110 (1976). Since 1960, the journal has been reissued in English translation in the USA.
