Durazno
Durazno
a city in Uruguay on the Yi River in the basin of the Negro. Durazno is the administrative center of the department of Durazno and had a population of 22,200 in 1963. It is a railway junction and has enterprises engaged in food processing (including milk and flour). Other economic activities include shoe production and trade in timber, hides, and grain. Durazno was founded in 1821.
