Donner, Otto
Born Dec. 15, 1835, in Kokkola; died in 1909. Finnish linguist and Finno-Ugrist.
Donner was professor of Sanskrit and comparative linguistics at the University of Helsinki (1875-1905). He was the founder (1883) and president (from 1893) of the Finno-Ugric Society. He was the author of works on Indo-European and Finno-Ugric linguistics. From 1886 to 1891 he edited the Journal de la Société finno-ougrienne.
