Any test that measures levels or functional activity of one or more coagulation factors; the one-stage extrinsic CFA is abnormal in the face of defects of one or more of the following factors: II, V, VII, or X; the one-stage intrinsic CFA evaluates factors VIII, IX, XI, XII.
