[kən¦tin·yə·wəs ′kiln] (engineering) A long kiln through which ware travels on a moving device, such as a conveyor. A kiln through which the fire travels progressively.

A dry kiln arranged so that green lumber enters one end and is dried in progressive steps as it moves to the opposite end, where it is removed.
