Estevan (ĕs`təvăn), city (1991 pop. 10,240), S Sask., Canada, on the Souris River near the N.Dak. border. Lignite is mined there, and clay and plastic products are manufactured. Oil, discovered in the 1950s, is also important to the economy. |
