Emerson, William R.

(1833–1917)American architect who designed in the Shingle and Stick styles, such as the Forbes House, Wilton, MA, in 1876; the C. J. Morrill House, Bar Harbor, ME, in 1879 in the Stick style; and the Loring House, Pride’s Crossing, MA, in 1881, which was his most notable Shingle style work.
