controlled carrier modulation
controlled carrier modulation[kən¦trōld ′kar·ē·ər ‚mäj·ə′lā·shən] (communications) System of modulation wherein the carrier is amplitude-modulated by the signal frequencies and, in addition, the carrier is amplitude-modulated according to the envelope of the signal so that the modulation factor remains constant regardless of the amplitude of the signal. Also known as floating carrier modulation; variable carrier modulation. AcronymsSeeCCM |
