Location:5 miles west of Chico on River Road (off W. Sacramento Avenue).

Special Features:Park includes 4 miles of riverfront and preserves a fine example of the riverine habitat, featuring a ripariancommunity once common along the river—tall oaks and cottonwoods with athick undergrowth of elderberry, wild grape, blackberry, and wild rose.The most popular activity at the park is bank or boat fishing forsalmon, steelhead, and shad, but it is also popular for "cruising downthe river" on inner tubes, canoes, or kayaks.
