Location:Off Route 13, south of Ithaca.
Facilities:Campground with tent and trailer campsites, cabins, showers, picnicareas and pavilions, playground, playing fields, beach, hikingtrails (6 miles), hiking trails, nature trail, scenic views (é).
Activities:Camping, boating (no power boats), fishing, swimming, hiking, deerhunting (bow only, in season), recreation and nature programs.
Special Features:Park is named for the foaming cascade that's formed by Buttermilk Creekas it flows down the steep valley side toward Cayuga Lake. Parkactivities from July 4th through Labor Day include tours throughButtermilk gorge, and hiking trails wind along the gorge. A naturetrail winds through Larch Meadows, a moist glen and wetland area thatlies beyond the camping area in the lower portion of the park.
