Control Push Button

Control Push Button

an electrical device for closing or opening electric control circuits, signaling, and electric interlocking, as well as manual remote switching of electromagnetic apparatus (starters, contactors, relays, and so on). Control push buttons are used in AC circuits with voltages up to 660 volts (V) and in DC circuits with voltages up to 440 V; the maximum permissible current is 15 amperes. Control push buttons may have two to 16 contacts, some of which are normally closed and some normally open. A distinction is made between control push buttons with an automatic reset, whose contacts automatically return to their initial position, and buttons without an automatic reset, with mechanical or electromagnetic interlocking. Control push buttons may be of open, sealed, or dustproof and moisture-proof designs.
