Location:Between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, on DE 1, between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach.
Facilities:145 campsites with water, electric, and sewer hookups (some campingareas in the park are closed due to bridge construction that isexpected to extend through 2009; these 145 sites are still open,but campers should be aware that there will be noise and dustfrom the construction work during this period), beach cottages, picnic areas,pavilions, restrooms, showers, swimming beaches, bathhouse, marina,fuel dock, boat ramp, charter and dive boat rentals, dune crossing,horse trails, nature trails, food concession (é).
Activities:Camping, boating, sailing, sailboarding, windsurfing, fishing (é), swimming, surfing, nature programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Park is bounded on the west by Rehoboth Bay and Indian River Bay, and on the east by nearly 7 miles of Atlantic Ocean beach. Thompson Island Preserve, northwest of the inlet, is a salt marsh habitat where osprey have established nesting areas.
