Dionne, Marcel,

1951–, Canadian hockey player, b. Drummondville, Quebec. A talented offensive center, he was drafted (1971) by the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Detroit Red Wings. Moving to the Los Angeles Kings (1975), he played on four all-star teams and won the Art Ross trophy for the most points scored in a season (1979–80). Dionne was then traded to the New York Rangers (1987), from which he retired in 1989. One of the NHL's top scorers, with 731 goals, he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992.
