Buying climax

A rapid rise in the price of a stock resulting from heavy buying, which usually creates the market condition for a rapid fall in the price.

Buying Climax

A situation in which a security's price has risen very quickly and very high on heavy trading volume. A buying climax is often followed by steep price correction. See also: Selling climax.

buying climax

A period of very high volume and sharp upward movement in the stock market. A buying climax often signals the end of a bull market or, at the least, an overbought market that can be expected to fall. Also called climax. Compare selling climax.
