Buzovna

an urban-type settlement in the Azerbaijan SSR; part of Lenin Raion of the city of Baku. Population, 14, 600 (1970). Industry includes gas-equipment and machine-building plants, a dairy and vegetable sovkhoz, and the extraction of petroleum. There is also a climatic marine health resort and children’s sanatoriums (for the treatment of bone and joint tuberculosis and pulmonary tuberculosis, as well as for general therapy), a boardinghouse, and the Giandzhlik Youth Camp.
