Dykhtau

 

one of the highest peaks in the central part of the Greater Caucasus, in the Kabarda-Balkar ASSR, near the border of the Georgian SSR. It is located in the Bokovoi Range, at the source of the Cherek-Khulamskii River (Cherek-Bezengiiskii) of the Terek basin. The peak has an elevation of 5,203 m and is composed of crystalline rocks. The peak is climbed by mountaineers.
