D0443700 (dĭl′ən), Bob Originally Robert Allen Zimmerman. Born 1941. American singer and songwriter who gained fame for his protest songs in the folk tradition, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963), and for bringing poetic depth to rock music with songs such as "Like a Rolling Stone" (1965). He was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 2016.
