Agloporit

an artificial building material (a concrete filler). Agloporit is porous in structure and is obtained via heat treatment by agglomerating the mixture of clays or the waste products left from the extraction, dressing, and burning of coal. This is followed by screening or crushing into small fragments. The mixture must contain 4–10 percent of the conventional fuel and must have the necessary gas permeability. Agloporit is made in the form of crushed stone or gravel (with a grain size of 5–40 mm) and in the form of sand (with a grain size of less than 5 mm). It is used in the manufacture of load-bearing and enclosing components made with lightweight concrete, as well as for thermally insulated fillings. Agloporit’s coefficient of heat conductivity is 0.1–0.22 kilocalories / (m-hr-°C) or 0.12–0.26 watt/(m-°K).
