Location:Off US 1 at the Edgecomb end of the Wicasset bridge, on Eddy Road.
Facilities:Historic structures, interpretive panels, picnic facilities. Open Memorial Day-Labor Day.
Activities:Guided tours and special events in summer; fishing.
Special Features:Located on Davis Island in the Sheepscott River, Fort was built priorto the War of 1812 to protect the Maine coast and its shippinginterest. The centerpiece of the fort is the Blockhouse, which wasbuilt in 1809 and represent's the nation's best-preserved blockhouse ofthis period.
