C0224300 (shə-gäl′, -găl′, shä-), Marc 1887-1985. Russian-born artist noted for his dreamlike, fanciful imagery and brilliantly colored canvases. Among his works are two huge murals designed for the New York City Metropolitan Opera House (1966).
