Bydgoszcz Canal
a navigable canal in Poland that connects the Vistula River (through the tributary Brda) with the Odra River (through the locked tributaries Noteć and Warta). The canal was built in 1772. It is about 25 km long, has six small locks, and is up to 2.5 m deep. It can be used by 400-ton barges. The freight hauled on the canal consists of grain, fertilizers, and lumber. The main port is Bydgoszcz.
