Bzybskii

 

(also Bzipskii), a mountain range on the south slope of the Greater Caucasus, in Abkhazian ASSR. Maximum elevation, 3,033 m (Mount Khimsa). Length, circa 50 km. The Bzybskii Range is composed chiefly of limestone, with wide development of karst. The slopes are covered with broad-leaved and coniferous forests; higher up are alpine meadows.
