Beliakov, Rostislav Apollosovich
Born Mar. 4, 1919, in Murom, Vladimir Oblast. Soviet aircraft designer. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1974). Hero of Socialist Labor (1971). Member of the CPSU since 1944.
After graduating from the S. Ordzhonikidze Moscow Institute of Aviation in 1941, Beliakov worked in the aviation industry. Named principal designer at the A. I. Mikoyan Experimental Design Office in 1971, he has supervised the design of various kinds of fixed-wing aircraft.
Beliakov was a deputy to the ninth convocation of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Beliakov has received the State Prize of the USSR and the Lenin Prize and has been awarded three Orders of Lenin, three other orders, and various medals.
