Demetrius I Poliorcetes

(literally, “the besieger of the city”). Born circa 337 B.C.; died circa 283 B.C. King of Macedonia from 306 to 286 (with interruptions). Demetrius was a member of the Antigonid dynasty and took an active part in the struggle of the Diadochi.
