释义 | Employment Act 1990Employment Act 1990a UK statute aimed at reducing unofficial STRIKES. TRADE UNIONS were required to actively repudiate unofficial strike action and employers were permitted to selectively dismiss unofficial strikers (i.e. without fear of UNFAIR DISMISSAL proceedings). The Act also makes it unlawful to refuse employment to anybody on the grounds of membership or non-membership of a trade union (see CLOSED SHOP). See TRADE UNION REFORM AND EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS ACT 1993. |
