Fen Ho

a river in China, a left tributary of the Huang Ho. The Fen Ho is 635 km long and drains an area of 39,400 sq km. It flows through the Shansi highlands. The flow rate can reach 3,500 cu m per sec during the summer freshets. The river carries a large suspended load and is used for irrigation. The city of T’aiyüan is situated on the Fen Ho.
