exclusion order exclusion order an order shutting out. 1 it is used sometimes to describe orders keeping named persons out of the UK. 2 in English law, the court has the power to order the exclusion of either spouse from the matrimonial home if it appears to the court that the making of the order is necessary for the protection of the applicant or of any child of the family from any conduct or threatened conduct or reasonably apprehended conduct of the other spouse that is or would be injurious to the physical or mental health of the applicant or child.
