Golos Minuvshego

(Voice of the Past), a journal of history and the history of literature, with a liberal-Narodnik (liberal-Populist) tendency. Issued in Moscow from 1913 to 1923.

Until 1919, Golos minuvshego came out monthly; thereafter, it was issued irregularly, with a total of 65 issues. Members of the editorial board of the journal included A. K. Dzhivelegov, S. P. Mel’gunov, P. N. Sakulin, and V. I. Semevskii. It devoted particular attention to the social and revolutionary movement of the Russian intelligentsia. It published letters, notes, and memoirs of cultural figures. After the journal closed down, some of its contributors emigrated, and in 1926, in Paris, they revived the publication under the name Golos minuvshego na chuzhoi storone, giving it an anti-Soviet character.
