Gerson Therapy

(gĕr′sŏn) [Max B. Gerson, Ger.-Am. physician, 1881–1959] A dietary therapy promoted as a treatment for cancer, migraine headaches, and tuberculosis, consisting of limited intake of sodium, potassium, protein, and fat, and frequent consumption of fruit juices and vegetables. The treatment also includes chamomile or coffee enemas, liver extract, pancreatic enzymes, and thyroid hormone.
