Frederiks, Vladimir Borisovich

 

Born Nov. 16 (28), 1838; died 1927. Russian state figure. Count (1913); adjutant general, cavalry general; member of the Council of State (1905).

Frederiks was a Baltic baron and large-scale pomeshchik (landowner). From 1891 to 1893 he was in charge of the court stables. He became an assistant minister in 1893 and a minister of the imperial court in 1897. One of the high officials closest to Nicholas II, he became a White émigré after the October Revolution.
