Gruppo Italiano per lo Studio della Sopravivienza nell' Infarto Miocardico trial, (a decades-long series of studies on interventions that prevent death after heart attack). The GISSI has produced a series of large-scale clinical trials (GISSI 1, GISSI 2, GISSI 3, GISSI Prevention).
