A poorly characterised bacterium which has been linked to at least one case of endocarditis and another of neuroretinitis.

Bartonella elizabethae

The organism previously known as Rochalimaea elizabethae, which causes an infection most often identified in immunocompromised patients with HIV infection. It has been implicated as a cause of bacteremia and endocarditis. See also: Bartonella
