G0017600 (găl′ə-tĭn) A river rising in the Gallatin Range, a section of the Rocky Mountains in northwest Wyoming and southwest Montana, and flowing about 200 km (125 mi) generally northwest to join the Jefferson and Madison Rivers and form the Missouri River near Bozeman, Montana.
