Glukhaia Vilva
Glukhaia Vil’va
a river in Perm’ Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Iazva River (Kama basin). The Glukhaia Vil’va is 234 km long, and the area of its basin is 1,740 sq km. Its source is on the western slopes of the Urals, and it flows northwest across a marshy plain. It is fed by a variety of sources, chiefly melting snow. The river reaches flood stage in April or early May, and there are flash floods in the summer and fall. The Glukhaia Vil’va freezes in November and thaws in April or early May. Its waters are suitable for floating timber.
