Genetika

(Genetics), a scientific journal of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR which has been published in Moscow since 1965. The journal prints articles, surveys, and reports on molecular, chemical, and radiation genetics; mutation theory; population genetics; cytogenetics; the relationship between the genotype and the environment; selection theory; descriptive genetics and breeding of plants, animals, and microorganisms; experimental polyploidy; heterosis; selection and hybridization; and human genetics. The articles include an English summary. In 1971 the journal had a circulation of about 3,200. The journal is translated and published in English in the United States.
