George v Coast

 

a part of the Victoria Land coastal region of east Antarctica between 142° and 155° E long., representing a series of glacier tongues (Ninnis, Merts) and shelf glaciers (Cook), with regions of the continental ice sheet in immediate contact with the sea. Discovered by an Australian antarctic expedition led by D. Mawson in 1912-13, it was named in honor of the King of England.
