Gorodok

 

a city (since 1957); center of Gorodok Raion, Khmel’nitskii Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Smotrich River (a tributary of the Dnestr), 52 km southwest of the city of Khmel’nitskii. It has the railroad station Viktoriia on the Iarmolintsy-Kopychintsy line. Population, 15,000 (1970). Gorodok has machine-tool, machine repair, and two brick factories, as well as sugar and milk-canning combines.


Gorodok

 

a city (since 1939) and administrative center of Gorodok Raion, L’vov Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. It is situated on the Vereshchitsa River (a tributary of the Dnestr River), 27 km southwest of L’vov. The Gorodok-L’vov railroad station (on the L’vov-Mostiska line) is found here. Population, 12,000 (1970). Gorodok has a garment factory, two brick and tile factories, and a dairy.

a town (since 1772); center of Gorodok Raion, Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Located on the Gorozhanka River (in the Zapadnaia Dvina basin) 2 km from the Gorodok railroad station (on the Vitebsk-Nevel’ line). The city has a flax-processing plant, a machine repair shop, a creamery, and a fruit- and vegetable-processing plant. There is an agriculture mechanization technicum in Gorodok.
