George W. Joseph State Natural Area
Location:Off Historic Columbia River Highway, 12 miles east of Troutdale.
Facilities:Trails; largely undeveloped.
Activities:Hiking.
Special Features:Accessible only by trail from Latourell Falls and Guy Talbot State Park. Area is a dense forest where sword fern, moss, and lichens grow. Trail leads to the rarely visited upper Latourell Falls.
