Giliui

 

a river in Amur Oblast, RSFSR, a right tributary of the Zeia River (of the Amur River basin). It is 545 km long and drains an area of 22,500 sq km. The Giliui rises on the southern slopes of the Stanovoi Range and flows southeast through a larch taiga. There are over 400 lakes in its basin, with a total area of 26.8 sq km; icing is encountered. Its major tributaries are the Mogot and Tynda, both on the right. The river is used for floating timber.
