Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act

Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act

A law requiring foreign persons with an interest in more than one acre of agricultural land to report their ownership to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, using form FSA 153. The law is only one of a number of mechanisms for monitoring foreign investment in the United States, its effect on pricing Americans out of the market, and its concentration of critical resources into foreign hands. (For more information, go to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Web site www.usda.gov and search for “FSA 153.”)
