释义 | Gilligan, CarolGilligan, Carol(1936– ) psychologist; born in New York City. She studied English at Swarthmore (B.A. 1958), psychology at Radcliffe (M.A. 1961), and clinical psychology at Harvard (Ph.D. 1964). After working as a lecturer at the University of Chicago (1965–66), she began teaching at Harvard (1967). She is best known for investigations of how women develop their self-identities and values in a society dominated by patriarchal values, as in her publications, In a Different Voice: Psychological Theory and Women's Development (1982), and Meeting at the Crossroads: Women's Psychology and Girls' Development (with Lyn Mikel Brown, 1992). |
