Gonam
Gonam
(at its upper reaches, Monam), a river in the Yakut ASSR, a left tributary of the Uchur (in the Lena basin). The Gonam is 686 km long, with a basin of 55.600 sq km. It originates in the Stanovoi Range and flows northeast through the Aldan Uplands. There are over 1,800 lakes in the Gonam basin. The river is fed by snow runoff and rain. The main tributaries of the Gonam are the Sutam and Algama (from the right).
