an urban-type settlement in Lutugino Raion, Voroshilovgrad Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located 3 km from the Sbornaia railroad station (on the Rodakovo-Likhaia line). Population (1969), 10,400. Coal is mined here.


Beloe

 

a lake in western Vologda Oblast, RSFSR. In 1964 it became part of Sheksninskoe Reservoir, which is a component of the V. I. Lenin Volga-Baltic Water Route. Beloe Lake is round; length, 46 km; greatest width, 33 km. It is 5–6 m deep. The 67-km Belozerskii Canal by-pass follows the southwestern part of the lake. The main tributaries are the Kovzha (navigable), Kema, and Megra rivers.
