Gegam

or Agmagan, Range, a mountain range of the Armenian Highland, in the Armenian SSR, west of Lake Sevan. Elevation, up to 3,597 m (Azhdaak Mountain). It was formed by tufas and lava flows; extinct volcanoes are located in the range. The slopes are covered by high alpine meadows and are used for summer pasture.
