Frishmuth, Harriet Whitney

(1880–1980) sculptor; born in Philadelphia. After study in Paris with Rodin (1900), she worked in Berlin, settled in New York City, and studied with Gutzon Borglum. She moved to Philadelphia, became known for graceful figure studies, as in The Vine (1821), and retired to Southbury, Conn.
