Google Cloud Print

Google Cloud Print

A service from Google that allows printing from Cloud Print-enabled apps such as Gmail, Google Docs, Chrome and Firefox browsers on desktop and mobile devices to a Cloud Print-enabled printer via the Internet. Users must first register their Cloud Print printers using their Google account. The Internet is the exchange channel, but the print job remains in Google servers only until the printing is completed.

Introduced in 2010, hundreds of printers natively support Cloud Print; however, software is available to use unsupported printers. Contrast with AirPrint and HP ePrint.
